The approx. 700 meter long Bienert hiking trail with numerous information boards leads through the southernmost part of the Weißeritz green belt. The path leads us past the former location of the Hochplauen water house, the now overgrown Bienert Garden, the Mühlgraben and the old Dresdner Straße to the Hegereiterbrücke. Originally built in the 16th century, the Hegereiterbrücke was given its current shape as a three-arched road bridge made of sandstone at the end of the 18th century. After it was affected by the floods in 2002, the reconstruction took place. Immediately opposite are the council quarries, acquired by the Dresden City Council in 1872 to deliver split and gravel for road construction.
