In 2019, the Rumpenheim Castle Park received a replica of its former Diana statue (the one in Eichenzell
near Fulda) and is also a replica, a historical one. She appears in newspaper articles in the 1950s
described as damaged by vandalism, that is, the forelegs of the animal figure were "deliberately" chopped off
as shown by the illustrations at the time. Incidentally, it is also mentioned that the figure is already "over a hundred years old",
which makes it clear that it was not one of the earliest furnishings in the palace park, but was built later.
The original can be admired in the Louvre in Paris. Diana, the goddess of the hunt, appears in a toga just like her
grabs a deer by the antlers with her left hand and grasps a quiver behind her back with her right hand.
