Monschau Castle towers over the city with its towers and is a venue for open-air concerts. The Red House, a home of a wealthy cloth manufacturer built in 1752, contains luxurious antique furniture and a carved oak spiral staircase. Not far from the city is the Eifel National Park with hiking trails.
