The frame mountain: The cloth frames that stood here on the narrow and long terraces secured with slate and greywacke rubble gave the frame mountain its name. After weaving, the fabrics were knotted (mending threads) and fulled (compacted and felted with water and wooden tampers). The heavily shrunken fabric had to be pulled apart again and stretched on frames to dry. The frame mountain is one of the most interesting soil and technical monuments from the cloth-making period.
