August Friedrich Markgraf is, like the mare trine who sits a few meters away from him, an original from Rendsburg's past, to which Frauke Wehberg set a memorial. For twenty years, from 1823 to 1843, he was the royal chief police officer, and during this time he wrote such interesting reports that he also became a valuable chronicler of the city. Elegantly dressed, but at the same time with dirt-smeared boots, he stands watching on the landing.

Frauke Wehberg's bronze sculpture of the mare's trinity on Röhlingsplatz keeps alive the memory of the former market woman who lived in Rendsburg from 1865-1908 and sold sweet pastries (mares) there. To this day it is seen as a Rendsburg original and as part of the city's history. In her honor, an actress slips into the historical costume and fills the story with life for the public on numerous days of the year. A second historical figure, the Margrave, is a bronze sculpture right next door.
