A new history museum is being built

At the historic site - the former administration building of Mannesmannröhren-Werke AG, planned by Peter Behrens in 1910 and the first official residence of the North Rhine-Westphalian Prime Minister until 1953 - a modern contemporary history museum on the history of North Rhine-Westphalia is being built on the banks of the Rhine in Düsseldorf, in the immediate vicinity of the North Rhine-Westphalian State Parliament - the House of History of North Rhine-Westphalia.

To present and illustrate the history of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, its origins and development, is the mission of the House of History of North Rhine-Westphalia Foundation, which was established by a legislative resolution of the State Parliament on December 18, 2019.
