"The historic train station building in Marienheide was built around 1892 in connection with the opening of the railway line from Wipperfürth to Marienheide in 1902. It is a typical train station building of this period with a two-story, slated reception building, an elongated outbuilding and a ramp.
The track route was relocated to today's regional train stop, meaning the station lost its original function, but this is still very clearly visible in its physiognomy to this day. The train station was extremely important for the development of Marienheide in the 20th century.
