After a short break from hiking, I was out hiking with @Jan yesterday afternoon in the Winterberg Sauerland region.
We started at the free parking lot below the horse-drawn carriage house on the northern edge of Winterberg.
The tour took us north toward Niedersfeld – through alternating forest passages

Today's itinerary included a tour with @Andreas Kellermann: from the Giebelhaus up to the Prinz-Luitpold-Haus.
Parking is available in Hinterstein, where there is a large parking lot. A day ticket costs 10 euros. From there, you take the bus for the approximately 10 kilometers to the Giebelhaus – each

This tour took me to the Schachenhaus, one of King Ludwig II's special lodgings.
I started from the large parking lot at Elmau Castle. Access is via a toll road; no additional parking ticket is required. Since I was very early, I was lucky and was almost completely alone for the first two hours.
The trail

Since it had only rained for the past few days, I spontaneously decided to drive to Brixen and hike on the Plose. While it was still 12 degrees Celsius at home, a pleasant 4-6 degrees Celsius awaited me up on the Plose 😉, along with sunshine and dry weather. Later in the valley in Brixen, the temperature

Yesterday, I set off on the final stage of the Iron Lake Challenge Hessen with @Jan – and none other than the final boss awaited us in the form of the Edersee.
We started very early, at 4:30 a.m., from our overnight spot near Bringhausen and ran clockwise around the entire lake.
The first few kilometers

This weekend, I was out again on the Sauerland Höhenflug trail – this time together with @Jan on the circular tour through the Sorpetal.
The starting point was the hiking car park at Grosses Bildchen. From there, we first followed the Höhenflug trail (hiking sign: white H on a yellow background) steadily

Yesterday, we set off again to take advantage of the good weather before the forecast rain. The destination was the border area between Winterberg's Sauerland region and the Siegen-Wittgenstein district. The tour started at the Albrechtsplatz hiking car park (free of charge).
From there, we followed the

On Wednesday, we headed to Nordenau in sunny, spring-like weather. 🌞 The starting point was the free parking lot on Astenstraße.
From there, we followed hiking trail No. 2 along the spa gardens, past the ski lift, and then steadily uphill toward Hubertusblick. From here, the trail continued to Hubertusstein

Saturday morning, 6:40 a.m., Scheibenholz race track in Leipzig - the German season opener was about to begin, and despite being a little under the weather, we set off again with the herd of mammoths. 🦣
After just a short stretch, the group split up because the 55 route was different. This immediately
