The "New Mill" on the Hase on Heinrich-Heine-Straße, at the corner of Kollegienwall opposite the main train station, was founded in 1253 by Bishop Bruno on the so-called Martinshof.
For this, the existing Schlagvordermühle, of which Schlagvorder Straße is still a reminder today, had to be demolished.
