The north side of the lake is always a bit far from the road, so you can often only guess the lake in summer. But that does not matter, because the forest is wonderfully light and airy in a healthy mix, dominated by beech trees. At the beginning is a short but very interesting nature trail, where you can learn, for example, how the wooden ice stems are made or different wood products, whether solid, chipboard, or MDF.

The Große Eutiner See is a lake in Holstein Switzerland, northeast of the city of Eutin. It is 230 hectares in size, up to 17 m deep and is about 26.7 m above sea level. NN. The Seeschaarwald borders directly on the northern side. The lake is somewhat "hidden" on the northern side of the circular route.
