You‘re never too old to throw on some lycra and be fabulous.
So, the real plan was: we drive via Helleberg, Reuberg, Steinberg and Burgberg to Einbeck. But first we wanted to see the Lippoldshöhle. We had already lost our way up to Lippoldshöhe - the tour hadn't updated. We found out that the paths in the mountains are sometimes not really nice to drive after 2 rainy days. There were pretty tough trails - Bärbel would have had fun. But it was all muddy and greasy.
When we finally found the Lippoldshöhle, our motivation for further trails had fallen into the bottomless.
So we continued with another tour with supposedly fewer trails. At first it worked well. Unfortunately, allegedly drivable stretches seem to grow spontaneously in this region. I haven't had that many invisible (and nonexistent) trails on my planned routes at all.
Alternatively, whole pieces of forest had just been cleared and the trails were therefore no longer available. 🤦🏻♀️
Pure Adventure. In the end we were really happy to drive on the road. It was still fun but was a bit annoying in between.

We spontaneously agreed to meet on Thursday evening for Friday noon. First of all, an impressive ship-shunting orgy under the bascule bridge sabotaged our meeting. Barbel was waiting on one side of the Trave, me on the other. 😂🤷🏼♀️ then it started. 10 hours of sunshine and a golden October day were announced. In fact, the weather was as gray as the theory of prediction. In the end we cycled until the sun saw and came out for a little hour. We had a fancy tour where both of us got our money's worth. I think. I hope. Anyway, I enjoyed it. Thanks. 🙏🥰🚴🏻♀️

The first 15km were a journey (so rather not so recommendable) the next 10km were something between I-custom-ne-machete and pleasant off-road tour. The ferry when already fun u on Rügen was the route so well. Lots of great bike paths, but they were also boring to ride. But the landscape was great. Unfortunately, the Altefähr ferry does not fail continuously. We should have waited almost 2 hours. Then we are over the old Rügen dam to Stralsund. Made a lot of KM, but the variety fell by the wayside. The challenge on the Rügenteil was the stormy headwind. And the detour to Poseritz in search of thirst-quenching drinks. We found THAT at a horse show. 🤦♀️ this is how you unintentionally become a riding fan. 😂😂

Today we started in Ralswiek and cycled around the Great Jasmunder Bodden. The tour really had it all: terrible country road and great trails with a wonderful view and everything in between. Really very varied and partly demanding. Fortunately, the best and most strenuous trail came at the beginning of the tour. We were still fresh and ready for challenges. I think with 60km in my bones it wouldn't have been so fun. Great tour in great weather. Now let's hope that the weather will last another day and that we can do a nice tour tomorrow.
