The hunting lodge on the Ukleisee was built in 1776 by the Eutin court architect Georg Greggenhofer on behalf of the Lübeck prince-bishop Friedrich August.
It stands on an elevated headland between the Kellersee and Ukleisee in the middle of an idyllic forest landscape. Over time, the building has been used in many ways as a tea pavilion, a pleasure house
