The village church in Mellenthin was probably built at the end of the 13th century. Between 2000 and 2005 the paintings were extensively renovated and preserved.

Cycling

Not far from the castle is in the center of the old church with old tombs (unfortunately also of some small children!). Outstanding are the two ancient oaks on the site! Unfortunately, the church was closed :-(
One of the two oak trees is listed as a natural monument and was estimated this year in March to 670 (!) Years !!!
