The hardest part of this route is the ascent to Kniepenberg. When you reach the top, it is worth to drive to the lookout tower. You can rest on a small parking lot and then continue to the tower. The view is terrific.

Although it is exhausting to drive along the Elbuferstraße between Neu Darchau and Hitzacker, it's worth it. A beautiful landscape
