Beautiful location, remote to the west of the centre of the hamlet. Founded in 1887 by a certain Knoors on the site of a wayside cross. Restored in 1958. Rectangular, neo-Gothic chapel of three bays with three-sided closure. White-painted brick. Picked plinth. Saddle roof (artificial slates). Two-part buttresses. Pointed arch windows in a profiled frame. Ditto portal with a pointed arch niche above it. In the gable top a facade stone with the date. Wrought iron cross and weather vane.
Furniture: statue of Our Lady in the gable niche, polychrome wood (circa 1700); crucifix, oak (dated 1834). The Gothic statue of Saint Joseph with Child is now kept in the parsonage of Stokkem: Maasland, Liège, Master with the Pipe Folds (1450-60

If you walk behind the dike between Boyen and Stokkem, you will come across this small chapel. The chapel and its interior are beautiful to look at, but there is a lot of slapstick in front of it and it seems a little artificial.

On Sundays and public holidays the chapel is open to the public and you can light a candle there.
