Chesil Beach is a coastal formation stretching 29km from West Bay to Chiswell. The formation is 200 m wide and 15 m high. As part of the Jurassic Coast, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (Source: Wikipedia)
The beach consists of nothing but pebbles. Walking on it is very difficult, but the sound of the surf sounds louder and more soothing than usual.

Amazing natural phenomenon - well worth a visit. Don't go swimming off the beach due to a dangerously strong undertow.
