@Daniela 🏞️ you really did a big tour today. Respect. The path from Marisfeld to Leutersdorf was a disaster, of course. Thick loose gravel just dumped there and probably only driven over with a tractor. From Leutersdorf towards Marisfeld it's torture for cyclists 🥵😠

The Bermerrunde is a really beautiful tour, especially now in May when the fresh green of the beech trees already provides shade. The tour mostly runs on soft paths, but partly on the Rennsteig. The many deciduous trees somewhat conceal the forest dieback. There is no road noise, only birdsong. On weekends

Sonneberg was my destination today, after reading Kati Naumann's book "Wo wir Kinder waren", a family story in the toy town. I was not disappointed. Sonneberg has become a beautiful town and the museum has been really modernized. The prices here are also still very moderate.

It is a pleasant, not too strenuous tour with beautiful views. However, there are particularly many dead spruce trees here, the sight of which I still have to get used to. Maybe one can put a positive spin on it: forest in transition. I don't like photographing this deadwood very much.

Der Point-Alpha-Weg ist einer der schönsten Extratouren. Er verläuft auf schmalen Waldwegen, über Wiesen und bietet schöne Ausblicke in die grandiose Landschaft der Rhön. Einfach schön. Das Highlight ist natürlich die Berührung mit der deutschen Geschichte am Point Alpha.

The Mommelstein Cycle Path is the most beautiful cycle path far and wide, especially in hot weather it is often shady and cool here. Finally, the section to Brotterode has also been completed, it is great to ride.
