    Hiking

The Wharncliffe Viaduct crosses the Brent Valley carrying trains on the Great Western Railway (trains from Paddington to the West - Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and the like). Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and built in 1836 and expanded in 1877, it still carries a lot of traffic. The hollow piers supporting the deck above is a home to many bats. Lovely views from the Park, and the path passes under the viaduct for close up views.
