Rotherhithe Loop from Canada Water
A short but intensely photogenic walk around the former docks of Rotherhithe.
Starting at Canada Water, and up the Albion Channel (recently restored) to Surrey Water and Surrey Basin Lock to the Thames.
Around the Thames for a while, with views across to Wapping and Canary Wharf.

Brockenhurst to Burley
Third and final day of our New Forest mini-break and I think it was my favourite.
This was mostly on the moors, covered with heather, gorse, and ferns, small hills and shallow valleys with streams and bogs.
Great weather, breathtaking views. And lots of horses, of courses.

Brockenhurst to Lymington
Day 2 of our New Forest mini-break was properly varied.
Started with a walk though Roydon Woods, a stunning ancient forest, and the estate of Roydon Manor.

Brockenhurst to Lyndhurst
First day of a short break in the New Forest.
Beautiful and peaceful route through the woods and across the lawns; never seen so many horses in all my life.

Crystal Palace and South London Junction Railway
Following the route of a long closed railway line (originally opened in 1865, completely removed in 1956).

Dover to Folkestone
This is a great walk, absolutely stunning in places, especially in the Summer.

We stayed nearby (Setley Ridge Vineyard campsite) in July. St Nicholas church and the war graves are beautiful and poignant.
