Deer, oh dear. Virginia Water to Windsor gone wrong.
A long planned hike I decided to try today. Through Great Windsor Park and The Long Walk.
Unfortunately, today the Deer Park was closed, which makes up a vast expanse of the northern part of the Great Windsor Park, so had to do a two mile detour around the parameter.

Hammersmith to Boston Manor station via Thames Path and River Brent
Had a medical appointment in the morning, so decided to take the day off and go out for a walk in the afternoon. Kept close to home due to the later start, so along the Thames and up the Brent to the nearby Picadilly line station.

Starting from the bus station, the old town, stone bridge, canal, cathedral, aqueduct, river Lune, Customs House (now Maritime Museum), roman baths, priory and castle.

Following the photo I took of a map in Morecombe's local museum. Only partially successful as addresses weren't given, and I some buildings I think no longer exist. Cemetery too big to locate his parents' grave.

Morecambe walk: Eden Project, high tide and the former Frontierland
Been lucky with the weather so far, but today was rain all day forecast, so just did a mooch around town. Breakfast, shops, lunch, a few public art works, bus station scoping.
Heading back to the hotel just before 3, the rain had cleared for a bit. So a walk…

Hike - Morecambe to Heysham
Along the Promenade to Heysham, where I saw St. Peter's Church, the ruins if anglo-saxon St. Patrick Chapel, along the Heysham coast to Half Moon Bay and the Ship art work. Finally the Heysham nature reserve and the Suburban Heysham heights.

Hike - Harlow to Epping
Group hike. A wet one, definitely should have worn the waterproof shoes. GPS struggled to get satellites at the beginning, so missed a bit from Harlow Town Station to the park.
