The Apostle Paulus Church ... is a neo-Gothic brick church building. It was built from 1892 to 1894 at the former Prince Heinrich Square to designs by the Royal Building Council Franz Schwechten (Note: he also designed the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and planned at Anhalter station).
On December 29, 1894, the church was inaugurated. The church in historicized Gothic style, reminiscent of the Märkische tradition, is a listed building.
Today, the parish of Apostle Paul is a parish in the church circle Tempelhof-Schöneberg the Sprengels Berlin in the Protestant Church Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia.

Years ago I was able to experience a liturgical chant of the Roman Catholic Church in Latin by monks - Gregorian chant - here: the church has wonderful acoustics.

This Berlin church was dedicated to Saint Paul. He was initially an opponent of the Christian movement and was not called to the apostle ministry like the other apostles of Jesus Christ during his lifetime, but was converted later with the famous "Damascus experience".
His attribute, with which he is usually depicted in paintings or as a statue, is the sword with which he was executed. According to the Roman law of the time, such a sentence was a “privilege” (rapid death and not associated with a long, agonizing agony like other types of execution) that the citizens of Rome were entitled to.
Peter (Peter) is also known together with Paul as the "Princes of the Apostles", their common memorial day in the calendar of saints is June 29th.
