The KaDeWe is located directly at Wittenbergplatz. The "heavy hike from U Kurfürstendamm" mentioned here is not really correct - you do not need 6 hours to stroll along the Tauentzienstraße. Unless you take all the boutiques, cafes and restaurants along the way to KaDeWe :)10 minutes on foot 👣
    1 minute by subway 🚇
    3 minutes with the 🚲

Bad tongues actually claim that the KaDeWe is designed in such a way that 'you' have to get lost in order to be allowed to leave the 🛍 shopping temple again with empty wallets :))Ergo:
Using an elevator is less dangerous than using an escalator.

The KaDeWe is the largest department store on the European continent in Berlin. On eight floors, the largest and most famous department store in Berlin offers a comprehensive, upscale range of goods and a first-class gourmet area.
The highlight - photo from the Brandenburg Gate is not wrong here, no it is found in the food department and is made from the finest Lübeck marzipan.

The department store of the west is Berlin's largest and best-known department store. On more than 60,000 square meters, KaDeWe on Tauentzienstraße presents an extensive range of goods with items from all over the world - from the current fashion trends of international catwalks to exotic fruits from the South Seas. In addition to well-known fashion labels and delicacies, the broad product range also includes jewelry, perfume and beauty products, household goods, dishes and books.
The department store of the west also sets standards in terms of service. Customers can get advice and style in beauty rooms and beauty lounges, take advantage of the gift wrapping service, have the new suit tailored and exchange currency.
Gourmets will find the famous gourmet area with a select range of international specialties on the 6th floor. Whether high-quality meat, fish and cheese, fine pastries and confectionery, fresh fruit and vegetables or fine wines and spirits - the selection promises great pleasure in any case.

The most legendary department store in Germany was opened in 1907. At the same time, the delicatessen department of the largest department store in continental Europe, located on the second-highest floor, has been a major attraction since the 1920s. In any case, you should plan a visit to this house during a trip to Berlin.
