Hiking

The summit of the Markberg is more of a cartographic highlight and otherwise rather unspectacular, like many wooded peaks. With a height of 516m, the Markberg is one of the higher elevations in the North Spessart. To the east, the Eselsweg long-distance hiking trail runs just below. To the west, the Spessartbogen long-distance hiking trail is not too far away. The Spessart trail "Hohes Kreuz Bad Orb und Markberg", which was set up in 2021, also uses the Eselsweg route for a few meters.
