The 12.5-kilometer Jossgrund Loop begins and ends at the former moated castle in Burgjoß. The imposing castle walls evoke images of rattling armor and snorting tournament horses. A narrow riverside path leads us along the alder-lined riverbank through the floodplain. The trail ascends to the Steiniger Berg, where the treetops sway.
