    May 14, 2020:
The Old Catholic Resurrection Church in Hagen was sold to the Greek Orthodox Metropolis in Germany. The purchase contract was signed in Hagen on March 19. The planned ceremony to hand over the church will be held at a later date.

The Greek Orthodox community has been celebrating its liturgies as a guest in the Resurrection Church since 1989. The church now bears the name "St. Eirini Chrisovalantou". However, the Old Catholics are still present in Hagen. The Sunday Eucharist is now celebrated in the Ecumenical Community Center in Hagen-Helfe on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.

In 1874, the then parish of Hagen began building its own church in the neo-Gothic style, which was completed the following year. In 1876, St. Paul's Church was consecrated; It only received its current name after the Second World War. The community of Hagen has not existed as an independent parish for over 30 years and has been absorbed into the community of Dortmund.
