This bastion was named after a son of the Brandenburg Elector Friedrich Wilhelm. It is cut out of the rocky ridge and covers the valley behind it with the Grüner Hof area. Its defensive point with earthworks in front faces northwest. Access was via a stone staircase from the Grüner Hof. The rock ditches could be sealed off by palisard-like wooden barriers. During the fortress period, there were a few small-caliber cannons on the bastion plateau. The masonry was set directly on the rock and today only remnants remain. The former stone parapet is completely missing.
