The Green Heiner is a rubble mountain on the Gemarkungsgrenze between Stuttgart-Weilimdorf and Korntal-Münchingen. Its summit lies at 395 m above sea level. NN and towers the surrounding terrain by 80 to 90 meters. The 1999 built on the mountain wind turbine is now considered a landmark of Stuttgart-Weilimdorf.An observation platform on the top of the hill offers good views of the nearby Solitude (5 km) and the medium wave transmitter Mühlacker (22 km) and the Heuchelberg (33 km).The hill was artificially piled up in the 1950s, especially with large amounts of building rubble. The resulting new survey was initially called by the population Heiner and after a short time destination of excursions. After he was overgrown with grass and other vegetation, the new Kegelberg received the new nickname Grüner Heiner after its pleasing appearance.Source: Wikipedia
