The large Saale bridge in Weißenfels is expected to become a construction site from autumn 2023. The state road building authority of Saxony-Anhalt will build a new bridge on site. An arched bridge is planned. The old Saale bridge is demolished. The measure will take at least two years in total. It will not be possible to cross the Saale at this point during the entire construction period. Pedestrians have to dodge to the Pfennigbrücke. The detour for motorists leads via the B 91 bypass.
