The 460-meter-long engine water tunnel starts at a weir about twelve meters wide near the Rabenauer Mühle (♁⊙). It has a width of two meters and a height of 2.20 meters. On the steep slope of the Roten Weisseritz is the moated castle, from which the water is directed to the turbines via a 176 meter long pressure line with a diameter of 1.10 meters. The drop height is 39.22 meters with a maximum flow of 3.3 m³ per second. Excess water is directed at the moated castle over a natural stone cascade back into the Red Weisseritz.
