Info:The Weißeritz Valley Railway, inaugurated on October 30, 1882, ran directly along the Red Weißeritz River. After the Spechtritz station, it was relocated to higher ground due to the construction of the Malter Dam, where the first train ran towards Seifersdorf on April 24, 1912.Since the last tracks of the old line were dismantled in 1914, the embankment toward the Seifersdorfer Grund has been used as a hiking trail.
