      Plaulina-The Good Witch

A thousand years ago, a small path led from Plau to Wendenburg, which was completely surrounded by water and moor. The inhabitants of the old Plau - at that time still called Plawe - and from the surrounding area knew this way, and when danger threatened, they moved with their wives, children and cattle to the castle at the castle lake. This was also the case in that year, when the enemies who demanded tribute from the prince came again. They tried to conquer the castle, but they didn't succeed, because the many people who had found shelter in the castle successfully defended it. However, when winter came and everything was frozen thick, the enemy came across the ice in large numbers. They infected everything, murdered the inhabitants or took them away as prisoners. The fate of the castle was sealed.
The princess escaped the captors through a secret passage that began behind the wall and led to Kalüschenberg. She had so cleverly sealed the entrance that it was not discovered by the enemies.
The princess stayed in Kalüschenberg and guarded her father's treasures. In the meantime she has become very old and is only called the witch from Kalüschenberg. Her home is the Plau city forest and she keeps a watchful eye on the city and its citizens. From time to time you can meet them in the city. Only a few still remember the beautiful princess from the castle.
