The "old wine press" was originally designed as a service building for the lower castle. In the meantime - in the middle of the 20th century - the building was used by the Besigheim wine cooperative.
Today it is a town hall, whereby the historical elements have been largely preserved. The large vaulted cellar with the historic wooden barrels is still used today for e.g. B. Wine tasting used.

Here you can buy the wines produced from the adjacent steep slopes.
A trip to Hessigheim in the rock gardens is also worthwhile!

When we were there, it was set up like a small shop below the stairs. There were lots of nice parts to buy there that you can't find everywhere. Everything across the bed, just keep an eye on it when you're around.
