This is the col between Kirk Fell and Great Gable and the view down to Wast Water from here is simply brilliant! A great place to stop and have lunch.

Beck Head is the col between Great Gable and Kirk Fell. It is a welcome resting spot after the rough path down from Great Gable or before the steep ascent onto Kirk Fell. There is a good path down from here to Wasdale head.
