Memorial stone Friederikenplatz
This place is dedicated to Queen Friederike of Hanover, who was very involved in the design of the spa. It is the highest resting and observation place, which once had the view to the island
Wilhelmstein in the Steinhuder Sea allowed.
The Roswitha hiking trail leads right past him and connects the monastery Loccum with the spa on this section.

Queen Friederike of Hanover, née Princess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1778 – 1841), was the sister of the later Queen Luise of Prussia. She was one of the spa town's high-ranking aristocratic guests. Her husband, the Hanoverian King Ernst August I, donated the Friederikenkapelle in her honor. This place is the highest resting and viewing place, which once allowed a view of the island of Wilhelmstein in the Steinhuder Meer.
