Marie Wilhelmine (1818-1907), originally from Sachsen-Altenburg, was the wife of the last king of Hanover, Georg V. (1819-1878). After the victory of the Kingdom of Prussia over the Kingdom of Hanover in 1866, she followed her dethroned husband into Austrian exile.
After her, the castle Marienburg was named in Pattensen near Hanover, which had given her birthday in 1857 to King George V.
