A great round with children and fairy tale guessing. There is always a short version of the fairy tale on the sign. A QR code takes you to the long version of the fairy tale. Most fairy tales also have a bench. So you can read in peace.

Under the title Die Wichtelmänner, three short fairy tales are summarized in the children's and house tales of the Brothers Grimm, in which the old popular belief in small, mostly invisible house spirits comes to life. The best known is the first one in which the pixies help a poor cobbler with his work.

Once upon a time, through no fault of his own, a shoemaker had become so poor that at last there was nothing left but leather for a single pair of shoes. In the evening he cut the leather for shoes. The next morning he wanted to work on it. Because he had a clear conscience, he quietly went to bed and fell asleep.
In the morning, after he had finished his prayer and wanted to sit down to work, the two shoes were completely finished on his table. He was amazed and didn't know what to say about it. He took the shoes in hand to take a closer look: they were so neatly worked that no stitch was wrong, a masterpiece.
Soon after, a buyer entered his workshop. Because he liked the shoes so much, he paid more than usual for them. The shoemaker could use the money to buy leather for two pairs of shoes.
He cut them to size in the evening and wanted to go to work the next morning with fresh courage. But when he got up, they were already done. The buyers also came and gave him enough money to buy leather for four pairs of shoes.
He also found the four pairs ready early in the morning. So it went on and on, whatever he cut in the evening, that was processed in the morning. Soon he had enough money again and became a wealthy man.
Now it happened one evening, when the man had cut again, that he said to his wife before going to bed: "How about if we stayed up that night to see who is doing such helpful work for us?"
The woman was satisfied with the proposal and lit a light. Then they hid in the corner of the room, behind the clothes that were hung there, and watched.

When it was midnight, two cute little naked men came, sat down in front of the shoemaker's table, took all the work that had been cut to size, and began to prick, sew and knock with their little fingers so quickly that the shoemaker was amazed could not avert his eyes. They didn't let up until everything was finished and finished on the table, then they quickly jumped away.
The next morning the woman said: “The little men made us rich, we should show ourselves thankful for it. You walk around like that, have nothing on your body and have to freeze. You know what? I want to sew little shirts, jackets, waistcoats, and trousers for them, and knit a pair of stockings for each of them; you add a pair of shoes to each. "
The man said, "I think so too." And in the evening, after they had finished everything, instead of the cut work, they put the presents together on the table and then hid to see how the little men would do it.
At midnight they jumped up and wanted to get to work right away, but when they found the cute clothes instead of the cut leather, they were amazed at first, but then they were tremendously happy.
They got dressed as quickly as possible, painted their beautiful clothes and sang:
“Aren't we boys smooth and fine?
What should we be shoemakers any longer! "
Then they skipped and danced and jumped over chairs and benches. They finally danced out the door. From now on they never came back, but the shoemaker was fine as long as he lived, and everything he undertook was successful. And if they are not dead …
