Due to a "user error" I was only able to start the tour late, then due to orientation difficulties I turned an extra lap, which was probably reserved for mountain bikers. But never mind, at some point it went smoothly, people turned up again 😂 and it is worth taking a closer look at the 🦕🦖. And on the way back I even discovered a plant that I had never seen in the forest like this before

This tour was pretty confusing, so much art, so many half-timbered houses, so many sights and then the confusing announcements from Komoot. But still this tour was a lot of fun and the historic garden of the listed Malz House was a real highlight and it is worthwhile to walk down the small, inconspicuous alley. You might think that you are entering a private property, but it is accessible to everyone and anyone who wants to have some peace and quiet for a short picnic is in good hands there. We almost passed it. In the end my legs were tired of asphalt and we didn't tackle the way up to the castle via the many side streets from the city center either. A repetition on a different route is almost necessary.

Actually, I wanted to show someone the French cemetery and that resulted in a little adventure and we discovered a place that I wasn't even familiar with. There is apparently a colony of crows in the French cemetery and you should avoid taking the path to the right, because then you end up in the middle of the colony and it hails from the sky. Then we started our discovery tour over the ramparts and it is advisable to be careful where you step. In damp weather it is not entirely safe. I googled what kind of place or facility it could be and found out that this extensive area belonged to the former facility of St. Georgs Barracks with an old prison camp, airfield, etc.
On the tour of the protected area, which was formerly used by helicopters, it becomes clear how the area changed after the English left the barracks.
