"The old platform, which consisted of concrete, has been completely renovated," says Steven De Backer of East Flanders Tourism. "At the top you now have a 180 degree view over the rolling region and the meadows.
Along the platform there are picnic tables and parking spaces. It is intended that the platform will mainly be used by walkers, because it is located on a walking route along the sources of the Burreken, a walk of 15 kilometers.
But we want to give everyone the chance to enjoy the vantage point, so it's also accessible to people who are less mobile."
