The ice cellar road in Zegelsem/Brakel is a bumpy cobblestone strip and dirt road of 414m long.
It owes its name to the ice cellar that the nineteenth century owner of Hof-te-Wolfskerke had dug.
It descends to the Wolfskerkebeek or Vaanbuikbeek, one of the sources of the Zwalm. This is also the border between Zegelsem and Opbrakel. Beyond the stream towards Hof van Wolfskerke, under a solitary oak tree, is the entrance to the ice cellar that can still be seen today. In this ice cellar, an overarching pit specially built with bricks, ice could be stored until August.
