Hiking

The striking black and yellow tram stops at the Steintor are part of the "Busstops" art project that the Lower Saxony Foundation and the Ustra tram operator launched between 1990 and 1994. A total of twelve stops in the city were artistically executed at that time. The Milanese designer Alessandro Mendini (1931-2019) was responsible for the design of the stone gate. The building is lined with 1700 tiles.
