The water tower is unmissable from afar. Old boundary stones have been set up around it, which is also very interesting.

The water tower was erected on Villefontainer Platz.

It has a total height of 27 meters and was built by Heinrich Klotz & Co. using a reinforced concrete slip-forming method. Construction began on Ascension Day 1931, on May 14th at midnight on the two-meter-wide and 70-cm-high concrete ring. Work was carried out continuously during the day and at night, so that the roof was completed within 10.5 days of construction. The capacity of the two-chamber tanks is 200cbm. The pipe network was 8,968 meters long, which meant that Kahl was passed under twice and the railway line was crossed once. 488 house connections were laid for around 3,200 residents. The total cost of the water tower was 49,600.40 Reichsmarks. Today the water tower is the center of the town and one of Kahl's landmarks. The water tower has been closed since 1966 and is now only open for tours, especially for school classes. The Kahler Grenzsteingarten has been created around it.
