Where the Scheldt still ran 200 years ago, a forest has now grown. Between ash trees, willows and elder trees you can cross the wet area here thanks to a boardwalk. You may notice that you are walking on a low strip between two higher sections: on one side the Scheldt dike; on the other side a hill rises about 15 meters above the forest. It is an old landfill. There is a solar panel park on top of this hill.
