The sandstone monument, crowned with a Prussian eagle, was handed over to the municipal authorities by the Warriors' Association on April 30, 1905. It commemorates the Luckenwalde soldiers who died in the wars of 1848 and 1864.

In 2004, the goddess of victory, Victoria, found her place on the opposite monument. This memorial stands for the fallen in the wars of 1866 and 1870. Both memorials are on the corner of Haag and Markt.
