Zeitgleich lädt die Villa Jacobs am Jungfernsee bereits vor dem Tag des offenen Denkmals zum Weinfest ein. Hierbei können nicht nur Moselweine, sondern auch die Erzeugnisse des eigenen Weinbergs verkostet und erworben werden. Durch den immer sehenswerten Neuen Garten geht es für mich weiter in die Kolonie Alexandrowka. Ganz anders als zuvor der eher akkurate Park der Villa Jacobs zeigt sich hier der Privatgarten Andres unter alten Obstbäumen in einer naturnahen Wildheit. Durch die historische Innenstadt wandere ich über die Freundschaftsinsel und am Rand des Telegrafenbergs in die Teltower Vorstadt im Süden Potsdam. Gleich zwei Privatgärten laden hier in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einem Besuch ein. Über und über grünt es in Beeten und Kübeln im Privatgarten Lentz, deren Besitzer zum Pflanzenkauf sogar eigens in die Niederlande fahren. Nicht minder liebevoll ist auch der Privatgarten Lüscher gestaltet, der zudem mit Gartengeräten und anderen Haushaltsgegenständen dekoriert ist. Hübsche Sitzgelegenheiten laden in allen Gärten zu einer längeren Pause bei Kaffee und Kuchen (meist aus eigener Herstellung) ein. Anders als sonst in Brandenburg braucht man in Potsdam Gärten also nicht zu verhungern!
