Since 2006, the new Nuthepark between the Marktbrücke and the Alte Brauereiremise has developed into a popular place to stay. Newly laid out paths, bridges and seats invite you to linger, as do varied plantings and the large terrace by the water.

Further construction work took place. On December 17, 2014 the Nuthepromenade was inaugurated and another newly designed section of the green corridor along the Nuthe was opened to the public.

A green area with a yellow asphalted and illuminated footpath, many new trees, flowering shrubs and seats was created on approx. 5,300 m². A particular attraction is the sandy area at the Markt intersection, where you can play boules in summer and make an ice rink in winter. In addition to the road bridge on Beelitzer Strasse, pedestrians and cyclists will in future be able to use a new pedestrian bridge and thus safely bypass this bottleneck in the busy intersection area. The Nutheufer was cleared of unwanted vegetation, some steps now lead directly down to the water.
