GRÜNSCHEIDER MÜHLE
The mill formerly belonging to the knight seat of Grünscheid was still ground until the middle of the 20th century. Today it is a residential building, the oldest parts of which date back to the end of the 17th century, most of them from the beginning of the 19th century. The broad, two-storey half-timbered house with a brick wall on the ground floor has a high pitched roof. The door and windows have wooden clothes, the upper floor shows rectangular, small-scale framework. At the back of the house is a small farm building made of brick. Between this and the house lies the old Obergraben with the waterwheel. On the west side, the house in the roof has the year 1741. While preserving the old walls and the internal structure of the rooms, the mill was restored in an exemplary way by the owner at the end of the 20th century.
