The Marienkirche was built in 1778 and received a shape dominated by the Baroque. It is said to have stood in the same chapel as early as the 13th century. At least the Way of St. James goes by, which attaches historical importance to the church.

The organ dates back to 1756. It was built by Silbermann's students Zacharias and Gottfried Hildebrand. In 1908, the Eule company expanded the instrument to accommodate today's standard playing style.
A particularly treasured feature of the church is a statue of the Madonna, dating from the mid-15th century and created by an unknown artist.
