The lock house of the former lock 73 of the Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal is still standing. The sluice was filled. But you can still see the old walls and from here you have a nice view of the former course of the canal to the north - today a beautiful green strip.

There were 69 lock and canal keeper's houses along the route, built according to a model plan that could be adapted in detail depending on the terrain. According to Pechmann, the model plan for the one-story houses also came from him, but was corrected by the architectural committee (under Leo von Klenze) so that they could “provide a friendly and pleasing appearance”. The associated land was intended for growing vegetables and keeping animals for the lock keepers and supervisors who lived there.
