A spring in the Alzenbrunnen is located north of Alzenberg am Alzenbach at the marking boundary. In dry years, the Alzenbergers used barrel and wagon to fetch drinking water for people and cattle. It was not until Alzenberg was connected to the Black Forest water supply network in 1898 that the fountain lost its importance.
