In 1632 the turmoil of war erupted over Reinsberg. The imperial troops lived in the area with murder and fire, Dittmannsdorf was already in ashes. Lorenz von Schönberg, lord of Reinsberg Castle, sought refuge within the secure walls of Freiberg. On August 17 he set out and near the Bobritzsch, not far from his seat, he was shot by Croatian troops. Completely exhausted, he dragged himself on, he was able to reach Freiberg on a farmer's horse. He succumbed to his wounds a few days later. The Croatian stone in the ditch tour still reminds us of this event.
